When Jesus was hanging on the cross, He did not say:
“I am weak.”
“I am tired.”
“I am defeated.”
He said:
“It is finished.”
That one statement separates Christianity from every religion.
Religion says:
➡ do more
➡ try harder
➡ sacrifice again
Christianity says:
➡ it is done
➡ it is complete
➡ it is finished
If we do not understand what was finished at the cross, we will:
- try to finish what Christ already finished
- live under guilt
- live under fear
- mix grace with works
So today we answer this question clearly:
What exactly was finished at the cross?
